Comeback Leads to Tie Against Bowie, Rangers Fall to Temple

Jesuit Dallas scored seven unanswered runs to come storming back against Austin Bowie for a 7-7 tie in the first of two games for the Blue and Gold on the second day of the Pflugerville ISD Tournament, held on Friday at Connally High School. The Rangers would drop their second bout of the day, 5-2, to Temple. 

Against Bowie, senior Nick Barber drove in two runs while seniors Dominic Migliore, Jonah Timmons, sophomore Ethan Jimenez and freshman Braxton Baker drove in one run apiece. Senior Weston Okamoto secured a stolen base and scored a team-leading two runs while sophomore Dillon Brandt struck out six batters in his varsity debut, shutting out the Bulldogs from the third to to the sixth to open the door for the Ranger comeback.

Senior Jonah Timmons and junior Cameron Davis drove in runs for the Rangers during their nightcap against Tample, but the Wildcats used a four-run first to quickly take control of the contest. Junior Jaxx Rigelsky threw his first varsity start for Jesuit, hurling six innings and striking out two batters.

Jesuit will conclude the Pflugerville ISD Tournament on Saturday, beginning the day with a 10 a.m. matchup against Harlan before wrapping the six-game slate with a 12:15 p.m. showdown against San Antonio O'Connor.
