Jesuit Dallas secured its first district win of the 2023 season with a 2-0 victory over Nimitz on Friday at Nimitz H.S. The Rangers face a quick turnaround following the win, as the Blue and Gold will take on Richardson on Saturday in a contest that was originally scheduled for Jan. 31, but postponed due to the winter weather that plagued the Metroplex over the week.

Senior Josh Roppolo and sophomore Noah McGough scored goals for the Rangers, while seniors Christian Rodriguez and Cole Hines combined for the shutout. McGough has scored in three consecutive contests, dating back to the team's first matchup against the Vikings. Roppolo secured his second goal of the season with the win, finding the back of the net for the first time since Jesuit's 2-0 win over McKinney in the championship semifinal of the Jesuit-Meintser Soccer Invitational.

The victory provides Jesuit with an unbeaten season against Nimitz, as Jesuit tied the Vikings, 4-4 on Jan. 20. Jesuit will return to Ranger Stadium for a 2 p.m. matchup against the Eagles.
