Jesuit Dallas baseball saw its season come to a conclusion on Saturday, as the Rangers dropped a pair of contests to Denton Guyer. The Wildcats defeated the Rangers, 3-1, at Wright Field in a game rescheduled from Friday night after inclement weather in the area, then dropped a decisive game three, 10-0, at Little Elm H.S.
 
The Rangers took a 1-0 lead in game two after a sacrifice fly from sophomore 
Jake Fults in the bottom of the first, scoring junior 
Cameron Davis to spot the Rangers a 1-0 advantage. Guyer would score two runs in the fifth before adding an insurance run in the sixth en route to the win. Sophomore 
Dillon Brandt fanned six batters during a six-inning outing before junior 
Joe Allen took over in the seventh, striking out one batter and holding the Wildcats without a hit, setting up the Rangers for a potential rally in the bottom of the inning.
 
In game three, Jesuit was held to six hits in the contest, as Guyer scored four runs in the second, two runs in the third, one in the fourth and three in the sixth. Hits were recorded by seniors 
Nick Barber, 
Dominic Migliore, Weston Okamota, 
Jonah Timmons, sophomore 
Taylor Haddock and Davis. Freshman 
James Jorgensen struck out three during his start on the mound, senior 
Jack Barr added a strikeout in the second before Allen concluded a busy with another strikeout over one inning of work.
 
Senior 
Preston Payne threw 0.2 innings in his final varsity appearance before junior 
Jaxx Rigelsky matched Jorgensen's three strikeouts over 1.1 innings of work. Senior 
Will Greenwood wrapped the contest with one strikeout to close out the season for the Rangers on the mound.
 
Jesuit ends the season with a 25-13-4 record, finishing with a 14-2 record in district play. The Rangers advanced to the third round of the playoffs for the first time since 2016 with a two-game series win over state-ranked Hebron, following up a two-game sweep of Arlington Lamar with a 5-1 victory over the Hawks on May 11 followed by a 7-1 win over Hebron on May 12.
