Jesuit soccer opened the 2024 University Interscholastic League (UIL) District 7-6A season with a 0-0 tie against Highland Park on Tuesday at Highlander Stadium.

The Rangers finished the bout with six shots on the day, but the back-and-forth battle between the two district rivals resulted in a great deal of back-and-forth play and limited quality chances on either side. Jesuit drew four fouls and earned six corner kicks, placing three shots on target during the matchup. Highland Park was able to draw 14 Jesuit fouls and procure six corner kick chances but did not place a shot on goal during the contest.

Junior Hudson Thomas recorded two shots for the Rangers while seniors Caleb Fisher and Matthew Sucato recorded Jesuit's final shot opportunities.

Jesuit will return to Ranger Stadium for a non-district bout against Bryan Adams. Kick-off is set for Friday, January 12 at 7:30 p.m.
