Jesuit Dallas wrestling finished sixth at The Nest Invitational, held on January 5-6 at Azle High School in Azle, Texas.
Senior
Oliver Collins won the 157-pound division with a sensational run that saw the Ranger grappler go 5-0. Collins began his run with a second period pin of Azle's JohnMikal Aguilar before punching his ticket to the quarterfinal with a 14-second pin of Berkner's Boyce Patterson. A victory over Logan Murdock from Argyle secured Collins a spot in the final, where he pinned Wakeland's Daniel Meares in 36 seconds to pick up the gold medal.
Senior
Pablo Lopez, junior Jake Daboub and sophomore
Kingston Stephens finished third in their respective weight classes, as Daboub earned four wins in the 165-pound bracket, securing a trio of decision victories along with a pin fall victory in the third round of qualifying play. Stephens went 4-1 at 106 pounds, including a 10-2 major decision over Argyle's Tobias Gilman in the third-place match. Lopez won three straight matches out of the gate via pin fall to earn a spot in the semifinal, then rebounded from a setback with a14-3 major decision victory against Berkner's Zion Blue.

Owen White picked up a fifth place finish, sophomore
Trevor Leap secured a fifth place finish and sophomore
Luke Bloodworth earned a sixth-place finish to score for the Rangers. Sophomore
Parker Sherman scored for Jesuit with a ninth-place finish at 215 pounds.
The Rangers finished the tournament with 156.5 points, finishing well ahead of seventh-place Aledo, who turned in a 122-point performance. Tournament host Azle scored the tournament victory with 260.5 total points.
Jesuit will return to dual meet competition on Wednesday, January 10, when Jesuit Dallas will host Berkner for senior night at Walsh Gym. Senior night festivities will precede the 6:30 p.m. meet start time.
