Two members of the Jesuit Dallas cross country team participated in the 2024 Nike South Cross Country Regional Championships, held on Nov. 23 at Bear Branch Park in The Woodlands.
 
Freshman Oscar Gooden finished 18th in the Boys' Rising Star #3 race, clocking a 17:13.50 in a race that featured the top runners from across the region. Gooden closed out a stellar freshman campaign with the performance, punctuating a debut season that saw Gooden win the 2024 District 7-6A Individual Junior Varsity Championship with a time of 17:34, besting the field by 26 seconds. 
 
The Rangers' second participant, sophomore Joaquin Lopez, placed 67th in the Boys' Rising Star #3 division with an 18:16.60. Lopez also competed for the Rangers' junior varsity team at the district championships, placing 11th overall.
