A determined comeback fell short on Feb. 13, as the Jesuit Dallas soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Highland Park on Tuesday at Ranger Stadium.

Senior George Horvat put home a header off a cross by sophomore Cooper McGough with 10:45 remaining in the second half, cutting the Highland Park lead in half after a pair of tallies by the Scots in the first half. The Rangers totaled six shots against Highland Park, as attempts were made by seniors Jason Ogbolu, Matthew Sucato and junior Clyde Araiza. Senior Reid McMillan racked up a pair of saves for the Rangers, keeping Jesuit within striking distance of the Scots.

Jesuit will continue district play on Friday, when the Rangers travel to Richardson to face Berkner. The Rangers will look to sweep the season series from the Rams after earning a 1-0 win on Jan. 17. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 16.
