The 2024 Powerlifting season concluded on Saturday, Feb. 17, as the Rangers finished eighth at the Mesquite ISD Invitational, hosted at West Mesquite H.S.
 
Jesuit saw a pair of juniors secure medals at the event, as Caiden Pendola finished second in the 161-pound division while fellow third year Gage Gutierrez placed second in the 165 lb division. Pendola registered Jesuit's top lift of the meet, totaling 1,060 pounds with a 385-pound squat, 235-pound bench press and 440-pound dead lift. Gutierrez racked up 1,035 total pounds, starting with a 340-pound squat, following with a 425-pound bench and capping his performance with a 420-pound dead lift.
