A junior-to-junior connection worked wonders against MacArthur on Feb. 27, as junior Noah McGough scored twice off of feeds from junior Mario Zamora to help propel the Rangers to a 2-1 win over the Cardinals at MacArthur H.S.

McGough scored his first goal of the game off of a gorgeous free kick by Zamora, slotting home the one-timer just outside of the box for Jesuit's first goal of the contest. Zamora launched a corner kick later in the bout that was headed home by McGough to spot the Rangers their first lead of the game. Senior Reid McMillan earned the victory in goal for the Rangers with a pair of saves, while the Jesuit Dallas defense continued its stellar 2024 campaign with four blocked Cardinal shots, yielding only two corner kicks to MacArthur.

Jesuit will return to action on Friday, March 1 when the Rangers will face area-ranked Irving. The Tigers handed the Rangers their first district loss of the season, a 1-0 setback on Tuesday, January 30. The key district bout will start at 7:15 p.m. at Ranger Stadium.
