Jesuit Dallas hosted its annual Powerlifting Invitational on Wednesday, January 30 inside the Dell Performance Center. The Rangers finished the annual showcase in second place, besting West Mesquite, Highland Park and Bishop Lynch to secure the team silver medal, propelled by a strong all-around performance by the Rangers' powerlifting lineup.
 
Junior Kevin Martinez won the 220-pound division, totaling 1,105 pounds for thee team's top lift of the meet. Martinez began with a 450-pound squat, followed by a 250-pound bench press and a 405-pound dead lift. Martinez dominated the field en route to the individual victory.
 
In addition, four Rangers earned silver medals at the meet. Juniors Reed Radelat (148lb), Gage Gutierrez (165lb), sophomore Caiden Pendola (181lb) and freshman Wilson Watkins (198lb). Sophomore Caleb Van Duinen (165lb) and junior Thomas Westerman (275lb) earned bronze medals for the Rangers.
 
Jesuit Dallas will wrap the regular season on Saturday, February 17 at the West Mesquite Invitational.
