4/10/2024 10:21:00 AM

Jesuit Dallas improved to 6-3 in District 7-6A play with a convincing, 15-1 win over Berkner on Tuesday in Richardson. The victory will set the stage for a matchup on Friday in which the Rangers will look to remain unbeaten at home against district opponents.

Junior pitcher Asher Levy earned his sixth win of the year on Tuesday with a complete-game, six-strikeout performance. The junior, who is now 6-0 this season, allowed one run on four hits and only walked one batter. At the plate, senior Tristen Bird and Junior E'Mar Fleming II led the way with three hits apiece, as Fleming launched his second home run of the season with a solo blast in the third.

In total, the Rangers racked up 15 hits en route to the convincing victory. Senior Cameron Davis, junior Jake Fults and sophomore Braxton Barber scattered two hits apiece while Fults, Fleming, Bird and sophomore Charlie Wilson drove in two runs apiece. Fults and sophomore James Jorgensen each recorded a double as Fults scored a team-leading three runs.

Jesuit will welcome Berkner to Wright Field on Friday for a 7 p.m. first pitch. The matchup will serve as the front end of a back-to-back two-game home stand, as Jesuit will host Nimitz on Saturday, April 13 at 2 p.m.
