Junior
Dillon Brandt threw a dazzling gem on Saturday afternoon, striking out 17 batters for the Rangers to help Jesuit Dallas secure an 8-0 win over Nimitz at Wright Field.

Brandt allowed three hits over seven innings, walking only one batter alongside his eyebrow-raising, 17-strikeout performance. In the top of the third, Brandt threw an Immaculate Inning, striking out the side on nine pitches.

At the plate, senior
Ethan Jimenez put a cap on the Rangers' offensive excellence with a two-run home run to left field in the bottom of the sixth. Nimitz kept the Rangers scoreless until the fourth inning, which saw the Rangers rack up six runs on the Vikings.

Sophomores
Braxton Barber,
Shane Parker and senior
Tristen Bird recorded two hits apiece, while junior
Fulton Lawrence and senior
Cameron Davis drive in two runs apiece. Additional hits were recorded by sophomore
James Jorgensen and junior
E'Mar Fleming II.

Jesuit will look to secure its second straight district sweep on Tuesday, when the Rangers travel to Irving to take on the Vikings. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
