Jaxx Rigelsky dominated on the rubber, sending Jesuit Dallas to a 10-4 win over Nimitz on Tuesday in Irving. The victory gives the Blue and Gold a season sweep over the Vikings, as the Rangers take a four-game win streak into a district showdown against MacArthur.
Wilson's home run came in the top of the fourth, when the sophomore launched a three-run blast that helped blow the game open, spotting the Rangers a 5-0 advantage. Juniors
E'Mar Fleming II and
Jake Fults led the team with two hits apiece, while Fleming and Haddock drove in two runs apiece for the Blue and Gold. In total, eight of the Rangers' nine hitters recorded at least one hit, as Fults and sophomore
Braxton Barber recorded doubles.Â
On the mound, Levy struck out four batters over 3.2 innings pitched, allowing two earned runs while only walking two batters. Rigelsky dominated the back half of the contest, striking out three batters over 2.1 innings.
Jesuit will return to Irving on Friday, April 19 to take on MacArthur. The Cardinals will enter the match up with a 3-7 district record after suffering two losses against Highland Park in their previous district series. First pitch on Friday is set for 7 p.m.
