Junior Brayden Higginbotham started the 2025 Jesuit Dallas track and field season on Saturday, January 11, competing at the Texas H.S. Indoor Championships at the R.A. "Murray" Fasken Indoor Track on the campus of Texas A&M University.
 
Higginbotham competed in the second heat of the 800 meter run, placing sixth in his heat and 38th overall with a time of 2:05.18. The junior continues his strong 2024-25 athletic season following a breakout junior season with the Rangers' cross country team. Higginbotham was the Rangers' top finisher at district, finishing eight at the District 7-6A Championships before leading the charge for the Blue and Gold at the regional championship meet.
 
The track and field indoor season will continue January 24-25, when the Rangers will travel to Lubbock, Texas for the Wes Kitley H.S. Indoor Meet. The two-day invitational will take place at Texas Tech University.
