Cade Kirby caught three touchdown passes in the second quarter and
Cole Wombacher had a pick-6 as Jesuit Dallas cruised to a 42-7 victory over MacArthur at Joy and Ralph Ellis Stadium on Thursday night.
Jesuit (3-4, 3-1 7-6A) defeated MacArthur (2-5, 1-3) for the seventh-consecutive time and extended its winning streak against the three Irving schools at Ellis Stadium to 10.Â
After a scoreless opening 12 minutes, Jesuit scored four times in a 9:39 span to open up a 28-0 halftime lead. Kirby had scoring receptions of 35, 15 and 14 yards coming from
Beck Berry and JP Livingstone. The Rangers' top receiver finished the game with five receptions for 88 yards. He leads the team with eight touchdowns and all of them have come in the last five contests. The last time a Jesuit player had three scoring catches was 363 days ago when
Blake Bodnar had three in a win over MacArthur at Ranger Stadium.
Berry finished with 140 yards on 13-of-21 passing with two touchdowns. He also rushed for 10 yards, including a 3-yard touchdown on Jesuit's first possession of the second half. Livingston was 6-of-8 for 61 yards and scampered 28 yards for a score in the fourth quarter that put the Blue and Gold ahead 42-0.
The Rangers held the Cardinals to 202 yards of total offense and forced three turnovers. Coming into the game,. MacArthur had only lost the ball twice all season.
Gabriel James had five tackles, two for loss, a sack and a strip sack to lead the defense. Wombacher also collected seven stops with a pair of tackles for loss and his interception.
Parker Sherman registered a season-high six stops, one for loss and a break-up.
Jesuit will return to play on Friday, Oct. 24 when it plays host to Richardson. Kickoff for Homecoming is at 7 p.m.
