Jesuit Crew Delivers Strong Performance at Head of the Charles

10/18/2025 5:00:00 PM

BOSTON - The Jesuit Crew team continued its fall season on the national stage at the Head of the Charles Regatta, competing in the Men's Youth 4+ event at the world's largest rowing competition on Saturday.

Starting 83rd in a field packed with the fastest programs in the country, Jesuit delivered a composed and aggressive race down the three-mile course. The crew rowed through more than ten boats and finished with a time of 17:00, just 30 seconds off the medal stand in one of the most competitive events of the weekend.

The performance reflected the crew's ability to execute under pressure, maintaining rhythm, patience, and connection through the narrow turns and fast currents of the Charles River.

"The guys approached this race the right way," said Head Coach Eli Brown. "They trusted their preparation, stayed composed, and raced with intent. From start to finish, they showed the kind of poise and fight we want to be known for. This experience gives us a great foundation as we move into the next phase of the season."

Jesuit Crew now shifts focus toward the Head of the Hooch Regatta in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where the full team will compete in early November at the second-largest head race in the country.
