• Jesuit plays host to Richardson in a key District 7-6A contest on Thursday night. Kickoff at Ranger Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
BACK ON THURSDAY
• With Friday's severe weather forecast forcing dozens of games across the area to move to Thursday, the Rangers will now play their third game on Thursday this season - marking the most in school history.
• The Rangers are 19-3 on Thursdays since joining the UIL in 2004. Additionally, they are 4-9 on Saturdays and 1-0 on both Monday and Wednesday in that same timeframe.
• Jesuit also played its preseason scrimmage against Marcus on a Thursday night.
RED ZONE IS OUR HAPPY PLACE
• The Rangers have scored on 14 of their 16 trips into the red zone this season. They have 11 TD and three FG. One of the misfires was a turnover on downs at Irving with Jesuit ahead 52-13 and 3:13 left in the fourth quarter. In fact, they have converted on their last 13 when you take the Irving end of game possession out of the equation.
GOING AT OUR OWN PACE
• Historically, Jesuit teams have run an up-tempo offense. While they haven't abandoned it thus far, they have had injuries to key players that has seen the group slow things down.
• Jesuit has won the time of possession battle in three of its last five games.
• The Rangers have had 21 scoring drives and eight have lasted at least 4:00.
BERRY SETTLING IN AT QB
• Senior QB Beck Berry is emerging as one of the better quarterbacks in the district after moving from receiver in the offseason. He has thrown for 1,009 yards on 99-of-174 passing with seven TD. He is fourth in the district in passing yards and third in completion percentage. He also leads the team with 173 rushing yards and two TD.
WIDE RECEIVERS STARTING TO GET ROLLING
• Senior WR Cade Kirby has emerged as the top receiver for the Rangers. He leads the team with 422 yards on 32 receptions and a district-leading eight TD - with all eight coming in the last five contests. Last week at MacArthur he lit up the field with three TD on five receptions. He leads the team with 547 all-purpose yards - 78.1 per game.
• Sophomore Corson Lindley is one of four sophomores among the JCP 2-deep. He has caught 18 passes for 146 yards as a wideout but is making an equally big impact on special teams. He is averaging 22.2 yards per kickoff return and has positioned the offense with 60-yards or less to go six times. He has five returns of 20-plus yards. He nearly broke the opening kickoff at Irving last month before being pushed out of bounds at the Irving 21.
• Senior Lucas Meyer has seen time in the backfield and at receiver. He has rushed 32 times for 92 yards and caught 16 balls for 104 yards.
DEFENSE STARTING TO COME AROUND
• The Jesuit defense has done a solid job of disrupting the quarterbacks, collecting eight sacks and 23 QB hurries. Additionally, they have recorded 28 tackles for loss.
• Senior LB Cole Wombacher continues to lead the Rangers in tackles with 48. He has 25 solos, seven tackles for loss, two interceptions, three pass break-ups and a QB hurry.
TURNING DEFENSE INTO OFFENSE
• The Jesuit defense has forced 10 turnovers this season, with nine coming in the last four games.
• The Rangers have collected five interceptions and five fumble recoveries with the offense scoring off six of those opportunities, including all three chances last week at MacArthur.
MCGOUGH SOLID IN LEADING THE KICKING GAME
• Senior PK Cooper McGough has gone 14-for-16 on PATs and 3-for-4 on field goals this season. He has put 11 of 28 kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks, including nine of his last 15.
NEW THREADS FOR JESUIT
• Jesuit Dallas has signed an apparel contract with UnderArmour which will take effect in January. In the meantime, head coach Brandon Hickman has been designing the new uniforms which were worn last Friday against Lake Highlands. They will wear the uniforms again on Thursday against Richardson.
• Jesuit will be the first school in the country to wear UnderArmour's state of the art UA Blur uniform.
• UA representatives were on campus Monday, Oct. 6 and unveiled the new uniforms, cleats, and other gear to the varsity team.
BUDDY WALK 2025 RESULTED IN MORE THAN $30,000 IN FUNDRAISING
• The 2025 Buddy Walk to benefit the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas was this past Sunday, Oct. 19 at Riders Field in Frisco.
• The Buddy Walk® was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to promote awareness, inclusion, and acceptance of individuals with Down Syndrome. The Dallas group is one of 250 associations worldwide who participate.
• Jesuit has been the top participant for a number of years with players in the program from freshman to varsity raising money and participating in the walk. The Rangers combined to raise $33,634 this year after $32,888.22 a year ago.
• The Rangers split into offense and defense to compete to see which group could raise the most money. The combined total exceeded $30,000, led by the offense with 88 members raising $18,160, just ahead of the 85 and $15,475 for the defense. People can still give to the program through December 31.
• Seniors Cade Kirby and Tanner Krug served as the team captains for the event. Samuel Aristizabal, Joe Campisi, Jake Jackson and Wyatt Veltkamp all raised over $1,000 each.

• The Eagles lead the district in scoring defense, allowing 15.0 ppg and are second in total defense with 313 yards allowed per game. Christian Velasquez and Michael Allen each have a pick-6.
