OKLAHOMA City, Okla. - Jesuit opened the 2025-26 season at the Head of the Oklahoma Regatta with focus and composure, delivering commanding performances against top regional and national programs and earning medals in every race entered.
Over three days of racing, the team's depth and preparation showed through in both the distance head races and the high-intensity 500-meter night sprints. Across varsity, U17, and novice levels, Jesuit crews handled each race with conviction and focus, displaying strong rhythm and technical maturity early in the season.
In a blistering finish to the night sprints, Jesuit battled Dallas United and Oklahoma City to the line, with all three boats separated by mere milliseconds. The crew's effort produced a 1:20 split, the fastest 500-meter pace Jesuit has ever posted at this event.
"Our group showed real composure and intent in how they approached racing," said Head Coach Eli Brown. "They trusted their preparation, stayed connected, and competed with a level of confidence that reflects where we're headed as a team. It was a strong start to the year, and we're excited to keep building from here."
Jesuit leaves Oklahoma City encouraged by the collective performance and motivated by the speed shown across all boats. The team now shifts its focus toward the Head of the Charles Regatta, where Jesuit will field a 4+ entry later this month, before closing the fall with the Head of the Hooch Regatta, one of the largest and most competitive events in the country.
