MCKINNEY, Texas - The Jesuit Dallas wrestling team won seven individual matches en route to a 47-33 win over McKinney Boyd in the season opener for both squads on Wednesday night.

Senior Alex Shomin, sophomore Patrick Seedfelt-Taveres and senior Trevor Leap all won their matches inside of two minutes. Shomin - who went 32-15 a year ago - won his 132-pound contest in 39 seconds for the third-fastest fall in his career. Leap also got off to a good start this season after winning 10 of his last 14 matches a year ago.

Jesuit will compete in the Arlington HS Invitational this weekend at the AISD Arts and Athletics Complex. Junior varsity action is on Friday and varsity competition is on Saturday.
