CORINTH, Texas - The Jesuit Dallas golf team posted three scores in the low 70s to come away with the team title at the Oakmont Invitational at Oakmont Country Club on Monday.
The Rangers shot a 293 to claim a 7-shot victory over runner-ups Sachse and The Episcopal School of Dallas.
Sophomore
Jackson Straley made two eagles and two birdies on his way to a 1-under par 71 to finish in fourth place overall. Junior
Henry Schulze was on place back with an even-par 72, while junior
Preston Alles birdied the final two holes for a 73 and a ninth-place effort.
Sophomore
Will Fife signed for a 77 and senior John Kinzer shot 83. All five players made at least two birdies in the tourney.
The Rangers will return to action this weekend when they travel to Texarkana for the Jay Brewer Memorial Classic, Friday and Saturday. Jesuit won the 36-hole event last year and has posted a top-10 finish each of the last 10 years.
