DALLAS - The Jesuit wrestling team suffered a 38-37 loss to J.J. Pearce at Walsh Gym on Wednesday in a contest that went back and forth for much of the meet.

The Rangers built a 26-11 lead after the first six matches, getting victories from Kingston Stephens, Dash Llana, Alex Shomin and Thomas Czuppon. The margin closed to 31-23 after the next three contests, which included a four point win from Trevor Leap. But the Mustangs scored a 1-point decision at 175 and then took the lead with pins at the 190 and 215 weights. Parker Sherman closed out the match with a pin for the Rangers.

Jesuit is now 3-1 in duals this season and will travel to San Antonio Johnson HS for the Russ Pederson Invitational on Friday and Saturday this week.
