NORTHLAKE, Texas - The Jesuit Competitive Shotgun team won the High Over All title in the Sporting Clays and Skeet Tournament at Northlake Shooting Sports over the weekend.

This was a milestone for the team as this was the first time in the history of the shooting team that we had won the HOA team trophy.

Jesuit athletes shot the high scores in both the Skeet event and also the Sporting Clays portion of the tournament. Paul Thompson shot a perfect score of 75 in skeet to take 1st place in Skeet. Gavin Dourty shot an amazing score of 94 out of 100 to take 1st place in Sporting Clays.

"To all the members of the team, CONGRATULATIONS! This one is very special," head coach Craig Cain said. "I have been waiting for this to happen for a while, and I knew it would eventually happen, because I see what the team is capable of every week. The pieces all came together and this feels really good!"

The sporting clays score (3 highest scores make the team score) was 278 out of 300 targets:
