Cooper Jensen made four 3-pointers and Jesuit Dallas held Lake Worth to 23 percent shooting in a 65-22 victory in the opening round of the 62nd Annual Knights of Columbus Bob Stras Memorial Tournament at Walsh Gym on Thursday.
Jesuit (6-3) made 10-of-22 from outside and shot 52 percent in the contest. The Rangers also scored 29 points off 24 turnovers.
Jensen led the way with 12 points and five rebounds as 13 different Rangers scored.
Andrew Eakes had eight points and
Brayden Conlon came off the bench to score eight.
With Jesuit holding a 15-14 lead midway through the second quarter, the Rangers turned it on an outscored the Bullfrogs 19-0 over the final 5:05.
Lake Worth (1-5) made just three baskets in the second half, on 3-of-21 shooting. Eddie Page finished with eight points to lead the team in scoring.
Jesuit will now face Sachse on Friday at 7 p.m. in a winner's bracket contest. It will be the annual Teddy Bear Toss game with free admission to anyone who brings a new stuffed animal to donate to the Dallas Children's Hospital.
