Beucler's Blazing 100-Meter Dash Helps Propel Jesuit to Second Place in Wylie

Jesuit Dallas track and field continued its blazing start to the 2025 season, securing the team's second consecutive second-place finish at the Wylie Pirate Invitational, held on Saturday at Wylie ISD Stadium.
 
Junior Harlan Beucler led the charge for Jesuit, securing a gold medal in the 100 meter dash with a 10.53, setting a personal best in the process. Beucler would john senior John Keeton Parrish, senior Jesse Jenkins and senior Henry Bourret in the Rangers' victorious 4x200 relay, crossing the finish line in 1:28.88. The victory provides Jesuit with its third 4x200 meter relay victory this season, as the team has followed a record-setting performance at the McKinney Boyd relays with wins at Allen and Wylie.
 
Senior Mason Adams won the pole vault, clearing 14'6'' to secure the gold medal. Junior Ethan Irrobali was Jesuit's top finisher in the 1,600 meter run, finishing third with a personal-best 4:34.15 while sophomore Chase Brown scored bronze in the 400 meter dash with a 51.66. Jenkins, senior Eli Prieur, Brown and Beucler finished second in the 4x400 relay with a 3:28.13, and the Rangers' 4x100 relay team of Parrish, Jenkins, Brown and Bourret placed fifth with a 42.92.
 
Freshman Oscar Gooden won the junior varsity 800m (2:05.81) and 1,600m run (4:37.67), and freshman Maddux Click picked up the gold in the 3,200m with a personal best 10:23.25. Freshman Jacob Guyette won the developmental 3,200m with an 11:21.24.
 
Jesuit will return to action on Wednesday as the Rangers head to St. Mark's for a co-ed quadrangular meet. The Rangers will then head to College Station, Texas to compete at the Bluebonnet Invitational, a meet hosted by Texas A&M University.
