The Jesuit Dallas soccer team continued its red-hot charge towards the postseason, securing its 12th straight win, 2-1, over Berkner on Tuesday in Richardson.
Jesuit rebounded from an early goal by Berkner with two tallies in the second half to secure the victory. Junior
Corbyn Wendorf scored Jesuit's first goal of the contest on an assist by senior
Hudson Thomas before
Mario Zamora slotted home a penalty kick after Wendorf drew a foul in the box. Seniors
Julian Polma,
Marcelo Elizondo and
Jake Chostner split time in goal, and all three goalkeepers secured two saves apiece.
The Rangers will wrap the regular season on Friday, March 7 against Nimitz. Jesuit currently ranks second in the area according to the
Dallas Morning News and clinched the District 7-6A championship on Friday, February 28 with a 3-0 win over Richardson. Kickoff between the Rangers and Vikings is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
