Jesuit Continues Track & Field Season Against St. Mark's

Jesuit's track and field season continued Wednesday as the Rangers competed against St. Mark's in a double dual meet in Dallas. St. Mark's would ultimately secure a narrow 51-34 win, but Jesuit Dallas continued to pepper the podium with strong performances.
 
Junior Harlan Beucler recorded another stellar time in the 100m dash, following his 10.53 at the Wylie Pirate Invitational with a victorious, 10.65 against St. Mark's. Senior John Keeton Parrish followed in second place with an 11.16, while senior Henry Bourret and sophomore Chase Brown recorded an 11.42 and 11.48 to finish fourth and fifth, respectively. Parrish, Bourret, Brown and Beucler would join forces in the 4x100 relay, winning the event with a total relay time of 42.61.
 
Junior Brayden Higginbotham was Jesuit's top finisher in the 800m run, logging a personal best 2:01.48 to finish second while freshman Oscar Gooden (4:38.60) and junior Ethan Irrobali (4:44.17) finished second and third, respectively, in the 1600m run. Freshman Will Ranneberger won the 100m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 17.88.
 
In field events, junior Beck Berry recorded a new personal best with a jump of 20'6'' to secure a silver medal while seniors Aiden Hunt and Jack Golembeski finished second and third, respectively in the high jump. Hunt cleared the bar at 5'8'' while Golembeski made it over the 5'6'' mark, both of which were personal bests.
 
Jesuit Dallas will next prepare to host the Jesuit-Sheaner Relays on Friday, March 21 with the 3,200 meter run, followed by preliminaries and finals on Saturday, March 22.
