District Champion Rangers Secure Four Major All-District Awards

The 2025 University Interscholastic League (UIL) District 7-6A Champion Jesuit Dallas soccer team was well-represented in the annual all-district listing, announced following the conclusion of the 2025 season following a vote of the league coaches.
 
Senior Mario Zamora was named the District 7-6A Most Valuable Player after making a splash on the offensive end while serving as a field general for the Rangers' high-powered defense. Zamora finished the season with six goals and an assist, scoring game-winning goals against Lake Highlands (Jan. 28), Irving (Feb. 14) and Berkner (Mar. 4). Zamora was also a field captain for a Jesuit defense that held opponents to 0.48 goals per game during the season.
 
In addition, senior Marcelo Elizondo was named the District Goalkeeper of the Year. Finishing the year with a 10-1-1 record, Elizondo racked up 28 saves, secured one solo shutout and contributed on 13 shutouts for the Rangers. Senior Noah McGough was named the District 7-6A Co-Utility Player of the Year after finishing the season with six goals and four assists while dominating opposing offenses as a key member of Jesuit's vaunted defensive midfield. Sophomore Zane Roland was named the District 7-6A Co-Newcomer of the Year after scoring 10 goals with five assists.
 
All-district first team selections included seniors Clyde Araiza, Jake Chostner, Octavio Monjaras, Max Sabogal and junior Cooper McGough. Seniors Andres Benitez, Grant Gomez, Drew Koshakji, Hudson Thomas and junior Corbyn Wendorf were named to the all-district second team. Araiza finished the year with a team-leading 14 goals while Cooper McGough secured a team-high 11 assists for the Rangers.
 
Jesuit Dallas earned its fourth regional championship in 2025, finishing the year with a 21-2 record and picking up the program's first district championship since 2017 in the process. The Rangers upended Arlington Lamar, 2-0 in the bi-district round, then upended Denton Guyer in the final seconds of the area round. Overtime victories over Byron Nelson and Southlake Carroll awarded Jesuit Dallas its first regional championship crown since 2017.
