Jesuit Secures Share of District Championship With Win Over Nimitz

Jesuit Dallas finished the regular season with its sixth straight victory, following a senior night no-hitter with a 7-2 victory over Nimitz on Friday at Irving H.S. The Rangers finish the season as District 7-6A Co-Champions, sharing the championship with Lake Highlands after securing a 12-2 mark in district play. The district championship is the ninth in program and Jesuit's first since the 2021 season.
 
Senior Brayden Montes continued his electric season on the mound, remaining unbeaten finishing the regular season with a 6-0 record after striking out 10 batters over five innings of work. Junior Sebastian Lasa struck out three batters over one inning before senior Sean Cullen closed the door with a strikeout in the seventh.
 
Jesuit Dallas totaled six extra-base hits in the matchup, led by a home run by junior Charlie Wilson. Junior Brooks Kowal went 1-for-2 with two RBI and a double while senior E'mar Fleming II launched an RBI triple and scored a run. Senior Barrett Kasprowicz, junior Jacob Martinez and Wilson each posted a double as senior Jake Fults went 2-for-2 with an RBI and run scored. Junior Shane Parker scored two runs to aid the Jesuit Dallas effort.

The Rangers will match up with Arlington Bowie in the bi-district round of the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Region I-6A Division II tournament. The first game of the best-of-three series will take place on Thursday, May 1 at Wright Field before the series shifts to Arlington for a 7 p.m. first pitch on Friday, May 2. If needed, a decisive third game will take place at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 at Grand Prairie H.S.
