IRVING, Texas – The Jesuit Dallas basketball team cruised to a 73-31 win over Irving at Tiger Gym on Tuesday.
Zach Lyons and
Pierce Popelka each had 11 points to lead the Rangers 12 of the 13 players who saw the floor scored.
Jesuit (10-12, 3-3) won its third-consecutive game overall and its 15th-straight over Irving (3-19, 0-6).
Jesuit shot 50 percent and scored 42 points in the paint. The Ranger defense did a number on the Tigers all game. Jesuit scored 35 points off 24 Irving turnovers.
The Rangers made nine 3-pointers from eight different players.
After Irving scored a free throw to open the game, Jesuit scored 28 unanswered to take control. The Rangers shot 71 percent in the first quarter for a 28-3 lead.
Jesuit will be back in action this Friday when it hosts J.J. Pearce. Tip-off at Walsh Gym is at 7 p.m.
