IRVING, Texas - The Jesuit Dallas soccer team played Irving to a 0-0 tie on Thursday in a game featuring two of the stronger District 7-6A teams.
The Rangers had five really solid scoring chances in the contest and misfired on a penalty kick in the final minutes that would have likely given them the victory.
Sage Jones played all 80 minutes in goal and recorded the shutout.
Jesuit (5-0-1) will return home for a pair of games next week, beginning Tuesday against J.J. Pearce at 7:30 at Ranger Stadium. On Friday they will welcome Lake Highlands for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
