IRVING, Texas -
Jacob Martinez struck out 10 in 6.2 innings and nine different Jesuit Dallas players had a hit as the Rangers defeated Irving MacArhutr, 7-3, at MacArthur HS Baseball Field on Tuesday.
Jesuit (16-6-2, 5-0 District 7-6A) got 12 hits and four extra base hits as it extended its winning streak to a season-best 10 games. The Rangers are 13-1-2 in their last 16.
Martinez (3-2) recorded nine ground ball outs as the Cardinals scattered five hits.
Offensively,
Nate Iannariello,
Cole Johnson and
Roman Derichsweiler all had two hits. Jesuit scored four in the first and two in the third to pull away.
The teams will play again on Thursday at Wright Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
