DALLAS –
Zane Roland had a goal and an assist as the Jesuit Dallas soccer team remained unbeaten with a 3-0 victory over Berkner at Ranger Stadium on Thursday.
Jesuit improved to 16-0-2 and 11-0-2 in District 7-6A action with the team's tenth shutout.
Jesuit got on the board first, scoring in the 21st minute when
Dorian Diaz took a
Zane Roland pass in the box and slipped it past the Rams goalkeeper.
Roland found the scoring column for the seventh time this season when he headed home a perfect 30-yard pass from
Cruz Rodriguez in the 43rd minute.
The Rangers got their third goal on a header by
Cooper McGough on a throw in from
Henry King. It was McGough's team-leading 16th goal this season.
Jesuit outshot Berkner 12-3.
Brayden Bader and
Sebastian Lopez combined for their second-consecutive shutout. Lopez made the only save in the 78th minute on a ball right to him.
Jesuit will return to action on Tuesday night when it plays host to Nimitz at 7:30 p.m. The team will recognize its 12 seniors prior to the contest.
