DALLAS - The Jesuit Dallas volleyball team responded from a tough loss on Friday to comeback and defeat Aggieland, 3-1, in the Third Place Match of the Texas Boys High School Volleyball State Championship at Walsh Gym on Saturday.
Jesuit hit .238 and controlled the majority of the match, winning 25-19, 25-15, 15-25, 29-27.
Four Rangers had double-digit kills, led by senior
Miles McGovern's match-high 15 and .500 hitting percentage.
Eli Garza finished with 13 winners, while
Parker Schutze and
William Trout had 10 apiece.Â
Daniel Shao had four service aces, with all coming in a 5-point stretch to open the match when Jesuit raced out to a 7-0 lead.
Jesuit finished the season with a 19-5 record and reached the TBHSV State Championship for the ninth-consecutive season. The 19 wins are a school record for the Rangers.
