DALLAS - The Jesuit Dallas baseball season came to an end with a heartbreaking 5-4 loss to Flower Mound Marcus in the University Interscholastic League 6A Division 2 Regional Final at Horner Ballpark on Friday.
For the second-time in the best of three series, Marcus scored two runs in the seventh inning to come away with a 1-run victory.
Jesuit ended the season with a 30-9-2 record and advanced to the regional final for the first time since 2016. The Rangers went 14-0 in District 7-6A and had an 18-game winning streak, tied for the second-longest in the school's UIL history back to 2004.
On Friday, Marcus scored two in the second and one in the third for a 3-0 lead. Jesuit got on the board with one in the third and then took a 4-3 lead with three in the fourth.
That's the way it stood until the Marauders got a 1-out, 2-run triple in the seventh to go ahead 5-4.
Jesuit's
