Six different Rangers found the end zone as Jesuit Dallas closed out the regular season with a 49-24 victory over R.L. Turner Thursday night at Standridge Stadium. The production encapsulated Jesuit's prolific offense, which got above the 3000-yard passing threshold for the fifth straight season. It is also the fifth straight year the Rangers will advance to the UIL playoffs.
Bo Schneider found three of his classmates through the air for scores. Garrett Amy's first quarter touchdown was his 17th of the season, as he is now responsible for more than 100 points. Charlie Eikenberg caught his 10th TD of the season, and also went 5-for-6 while passing under center. Peter Lynch brought in his seventh scoring reception of the season, bringing his total to 503 yards receiving. In total, Schneider finishes the regular season with 38 touchdowns and 2,787 passing yards, while maintaining a 63.8% completion rate. All of those numbers put the UCF-commit in the top five in the area among starting quarterbacks.
Jesuit's ground game was also out in force Thursday, led by senior Matt Slovak's two touchdowns. Slovak has found pay dirt 14 times this year, leading all Ranger runners. Max Loughborough found the end zone for the fifth time this season, while Adam Holtz scored his third TD of the year. All seven of Jesuit's touchdowns came in the first half, and the Rangers took a 49-7 lead into the intermission. The Blue & Gold, wearing all-gold jerseys Thursday, kicked it into neutral for the second half, and finished with a 49-24 advantage.
Jesuit completes the regular season with a 7-3 record, including a 5-2 conference slate. The Rangers have earned the top seed in the UIL 6A Division II playoffs representing District 9-6A, and may host an opening-round game on Friday, Nov. 14, at Postell Stadium.
