Rangers Conquer District 9-6A:
Jesuit Dallas won the first outright University Interscholastic League (UIL) 9-6A championship in program history, closing the district schedule with an unblemished, 7-0 record.  Closing out the regular season with a 53-13 win over R.L. Turner, the Rangers wrap up a dominant run through the district and enter the postseason on an eight-game winning streak.  The Rangers wasted little time against Turner, scoring 36 first quarter points en route to the victory.  Closing out the contest with 390 total yards of offense, Jesuit Dallas was sparked by senior Adam Holtz, who ran for a team-leading 99 yards and two touchdowns.  Holtz notched his first two-touchdown game since the squad's 40-0 win over Irving on Oct. 9.  Junior quarterback Jacob Palisch went 4-of-9 behind center, throwing a pair of touchdown passes while adding 16 rushing yards.  Senior Max Loughborough and junior Evan Jackson each scored rushing touchdowns while seniors Connor Lanpher and Rusty Landon alongside junior Connor Jackson also found pay dirt.  Senior Austin Koehler snagged a 13-yard interception return to keep the Rangers' first quarter flurry intact, while classmate Peyton Long recorded five solo tackles, including a team-high two tackles for loss.  Junior Matt Eubanks recorded seven tackles while seniors Joseph Stautner and Emmet Flood recorded five each.

District Dominance: The Rangers will enter the playoffs with unprecedented momentum after finishing the district season unbeaten.  Over the squad's seven district games, the Rangers shut out four 9-6A foes, upended then No. 10-ranked and 2014 UIL State semifinalist Skyline, and did not allow more than three touchdowns to a single opponent.  Additionally, Jesuit Dallas posted three consecutive shutouts from Oct. 9 to 23.  In total, the Rangers outscored the remainder of UIL District 9-6A, 302-48, scoring 40 or more points in all but one of their divisional matchups.

Seeing Red: Jesuit Dallas allowed the first red zone touchdown in nearly a month on Friday, although opponents this season are still a mere 10-for-12 inside the Rangers 20-yard line, while Jesuit Dallas has impressed with a 52-of-56 conversation rate inside the opponent's red zone.  Entering Friday's playoff game, the Rangers have converted on each of their last nine trips to the red zone,  relying heavily on the run game, which has punched the ball in six times during that span.

The Holtz Express: With 85 yards on Friday, senior Adam Holtz will eclipse the 1,000 yard plateau for the 2015 season, the newest milestone in an immensely impressive senior campaign.  Holtz, who averages 7.2 yards per carry this season, has scored six times, tied for third on the team, while netting 91.50 yards per game.  Over the squad's last two contests, however, Holtz has shouldered a majority of the workload, carrying the ball a season-high 19 times against MacArthur and tying a season-high with two touchdowns against R.L. Turner, including a 48-yard touchdown run that stands as the Rangers' second longest touchdown play of the season.

Sweet Home Inwood: The Rangers are unbeaten at home this season, and have not lost a game inside the friendly confines of Postell Stadium since a setback to MacArthur on Oct. 31, 2014.  Since the loss to the Cardinals, Jesuit Dallas has shut out four opponents at home, held every opponent under 21 points while scoring 35 or more on all but one occassion, the 24-21 victory over then-No. 10 Skyline on Oct. 2, 2015.

Up Next: The winner of Friday's clash between the Rangers and Jaguars will battle the victor of Friday's Rockwall vs. Copperas Cove matchup in the UIL Football State Championships area round next week.
