Luke Ostrander earned the win in goal, making three first half stops.
In the first half, Jesuit Dallas began momentum early, totaling three shots on goal in the opening stanza. The offensive pressure culminated with a Skyline foul against Howell inside the 18-yard box, resulting with a penalty attempt for the Ranger senior in the 28th minute. Howell blasted the penalty into the back of the net, giving the Blue and Gold the first half advantage.
Jesuit Dallas continued momentum in the second half, threatening early and developing a corner opportunity in the 45th minute. After Skyline rebuffed the initial corner attempt, the Rangers were able to send a lofting ball into the box, where Fimian rushed forward and flipped a header over the top of the outstretched hand of the Raiders' goalkeeper, giving the home team a two-goal lead early in the second half.Â
The Ranger defense took over from that point forward, dominating the remainder of the contest to help the Blue and Gold secure its fifth shutout win of the season.
Jesuit Dallas will next travel to City Stadium take on Irving on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m.Â
