Rangers Win Senior Night Shootout Against Mustangs
Jesuit Dallas and J.J. Pearce combined for 1,192 yards of offense and 126 points, but the Rangers secured a 74-52 win on senior night at Postell Stadium. The Rangers scored the most points in program history, besting the previous record of 71 points against W.T. White in 2013. Jesuit recorded 667 total yards of offense, 413 rushing yards, and senior Jacob Palisch completed 13-of-21 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns. Junior Fletcher Rosenbleeth caught two touchdown passes, finishing with 101 receiving yards. Sophomore Pierce Strong and junior Hank Bitterman snagged interceptions, senior Andrew Miskell recorded a team-leading three sacks, and senior Billy Daly made a team-leading 9.5 tackles.
A Five-Star Triple-ThreatÂ
Over the past three weeks, the Rangers have averaged over 56 points per game, with performances by several key offensive threats. Seniors Evan Jackson, John Wunderlick and Fletcher Rosenbleeth have lit up the highlight reel, including a historic outing by Jackson against J.J. Pearce. Jackson's four rushing touchdowns against J.J. Pearce were the most since Matt Slovak broke the plane four times against W.T. White on Oct. 23, 2014, while Jackson's five all-purpose scores match Matt Miller's total against the Longhorns on October 11, 2013. The senior currently ranks second in the district in rushing yards, trailing only Berkner's Terance Hargest, aiming to improve Jesuit's streak of 1,000-yard rushers to three consecutive seasons.
The Jesuit Iron Curtain
The Rangers have held opposing teams to only 138.25 rushing yards per game in district play, including limiting J.J. Pearce to 87 rushing yards last Friday. Jesuit's corps of seniors have played a massive role in the team's success, anchored by Jordan Rice and Andrew Miskell, who lead the team with 12 and 11.5 tackles for loss, respectively. Miskell and fourth year Jack Metz recorded new career-highs last Friday, with Metz making seven total stops and 3.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage, while Miskell posted a three-sack performance.
Can't Kick the Streak
Junior Israel Ollarzabal has continued his impressive varsity debut, entering Friday's game converting six consecutive field attempts, in addition to 31-of-31 extra points. The junior has been perfect inside the 30-yard line, and is 9-of-11 on the year. In addition, Ollarzabal has averaged 45.1 yards per kickoff, has seven touchbacks, and has only kicked one ball out of bounds.Â
Last They Met…
Jesuit defeated Lake Highlands, 48-20, on October 28, 2013. The Rangers were led by a three-pronged running attack, anchored by three touchdowns from Matt Slovak. Orion Salters broke the goal line twice, while Max Loughborough also found pay dirt, helping Jesuit to 302 total rushing yards. Lake Highlands only recorded 21 passing yards, instead electing to rush for 306 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Jesuit built a 48-13 lead with 27 unanswered points between the second to fourth quarter.

With a win on Friday, Jesuit can clinch the UIL 9-6A Championship for the second consecutive season with a win against the Longhorns. Last season, Jesuit shut out W.T. White, 43-0, in a rain-soaked affair at Postell Stadium.
