Five runs in the fifth inning secured the second consecutive run rule victory for No. 14 Jesuit Dallas, who closed the regular season with an 11-1 victory over University Interscholastic League (UIL) District 9-6A rival R.L. Turner on Saturday afternoon in Carrollton, Texas.

Alex Lengyel went 2-for-2, driving in a team-high three runs while logging his first triple of the season. In total, nine Rangers recorded hits, including senior
Matt Horvath, who also recorded two RBI. Runs were also driven in by seniors

Jake Ryan alongside sophomore Chris Irby, with Ryan logging a pair of hits to tie Lengyel for the team lead.
Jesuit Dallas third year
JJ Montenegro earned the victory, his fifth on the year, while four junior pitchers combined to throw a three-hitter against the Lions. Montenegro threw two innings, striking out a pair of batters without allowing a hit before
Nic Colombo pitched the third, striking out two of three batters faced.
Wyatt Hasson struck out one before Heath Van Kirk fanned two batters in the fifth and final inning.
Senior
Jared Kengott opened the scoring with a groundout RBI in the first before the Rangers (25-5-2, 13-1-0) hung three runs on the R.L. Turner pitching staff in the second. A RBI single to right by Bond and a single through the left side by Mix plated two before Lengyel's triple closed out the scoring in the frame.
In the fourth, Ryan cracked a double to center, scoring Bonner before Lengyel earned his second RBI with a sacrifice fly to left. After a RBI single by Bonner in the fifth, Horvath drove in sophomore John Guzman and Bonner with a two-RBI single. Irby cracked a RBI double to follow a single by Lengyel, closing the scoring for the Blue and Gold.
Jesuit Dallas, ranked No. 14 in the most recent
TXHighSchoolBaseball.com poll, will next battle North Mesquite in the Bi-District Round of the UIL 6A Baseball State Championships. Game one will be played at Wright Field, first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
