Trailing by two goals in the waning moments of the contest, Jesuit Dallas rallied to cut the lead to one before ultimately dropping a 3-2 district decision to J.J. Pearce on Friday in Richardson, Texas.
 
Goals in the 5th minute by Alex Reznicek and a 78th minute tally by Andrew Gilchrist put the Rangers into position, but Jesuit was unable to get the equalizer in the net before the conclusion of the contest. Junior John Scott Lacina added an assist on Reznicek's goal.
 
J.J. Pearce scored goals in the 8th, 37th and 67th minute to take the late lead, outshooting the Rangers, 10-9 while forging six corner kick opportunities. Junior Connor Tullis started in goal for the Rangers, making three saves against the Mustangs. Jesuit placed seven of its nine shots on target but was held in check after taking the early lead.
 
Jesuit will look to rebound on Tuesday at home against Lake Highlands. Tuesday's contest will start a four-game home stand capped by a rematch with current district leader Coppell on Feb. 23.
