Jesuit Dallas volleyball opened the 2019 season with a two-match split at the first Texas Boys Volleyball Varsity League (TBVVL) Play Date on Mar. 30 in Rockwall, Texas. Jesuit rebounded from a two-set loss to Plano West with a three-set comeback win over Flower Mound to begin a new era of Ranger volleyball under the leadership of Ian Fryers.

Junior
Michael Turner was a major catalyst for the Rangers against the Jaguars, scoring nine aces and six assists along with a kill. Sophomore
Sam Levis led the team with four kills, followed closely with two from his twin brother
Ben Levis alongside a pair of scores by
Cristobal De Oyarzabal Barba. Sophomore libero
Javier Saldivar secured four digs for the Rangers while junior middle hitter
Taten Thompson racked up three blocks.

Flower Mound won the first set, 25-16, but Jesuit turned the game around in the second with a back-and-forth, 27-25 victory before capping its first win of the season with a four-point, 15-11 victory in game three.

Sam Levis led the way with four kills, followed closely behind with a kill from junior

Javier Saldivar scored four digs. The Rangers and Wolves battled in the tournament opener, but Plano West was able to sneak past the Rangers with a 25-19 first set win followed by a 25-18 victory in game two.
