The Jesuit Dallas tennis team returned to the courts for the spring portion of the 2020-21 campaign, splitting a pair of dual matches against Nolan Catholic and Trinity Christian Academy while adding an impressive run at the Frozen Tennis Classic in late January. Heading into the second week of February with an 8-2 mark in dual meet competition, the Rangers will face a busy spring schedule before heading into the postseason in early April.

Joey Trigiani and
Robby Berven scored a 6-1, 6-4 win over the Vikings in second-flight doubles. Berven would pick up an 8-2 win in singles for a 2-0 record on the day. Freshman

Liam Jones battled back from a one-set deficit to win at No. 3 doubles, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6.

Alex Park reached the semifinals of the Frozen Tennis Classic, picking up a 6-2, 6-3 win over Southlake Carroll in the first round before upending Plano West, 6-4, 6-3 to earn a spot in the semis before the run ended with a super tiebreaker loss. Freshman
Zach Whittington captured a medal at the event, winning the back draw singles bracket to continue a strong start to his Jesuit Dallas career.

Jonathan Ardoin secured an 8-3 win at second-flight singles while Berven continued his strong start to the spring with an 8-2 win at No. 3 singles and senior
Calum Taylor won his singles match, 8-2. Ardoin and junior
Blake Woodard teamed up for an 8-6 win at top-flight doubles while the team of Berven and Murray scored an 8-0 sweep at second flight.

Jesuit's dual meet schedule will continue with February matchups against John Paul II (Feb. 9) and Liberty Christian (Feb. 23) while the team will additionally compete at the Flower Mound Tournament (Feb. 19) before closing out the month at the Super Bowl Tournament (Feb. 26). A light March will lead into the UIL District 7-6A Championships, which are currently scheduled to take place on Apr. 12 at Richardson H.S.
