Jesuit Dallas split the second day of the Coppell Tip-Off Tournament on Friday, Nov. 18, dropping a 58-55 decision to the hosting Cowboys before upending Tyler Legacy, 72-62, in the nightcap. The Rangers finish pool play as the No. 3 seed in their bracket and will play against El Paso Chapin to close the tournament slate on Saturday afternoon.

Jesuit Dallas trailed by 12 points with 3:14 remaining in the third quarter but battled its way back and took a two-point lead with 3:17 remaining in the fourth. However, Coppell used a 7-2 run to close the game, and defeated Jesuit by three points. Junior

Charlie Needham added nine points, sophomore
Caleb Steger scored eight points while junior
Will Bronson and senior
Tai Kryger scored six points apiece.

Kryger added a team-leading six rebounds while senior
Dylan Gibbons recorded a team-leading four assists. Kemp added a team-high two steals, helping the Rangers rack up 15 points off of Coppell turnovers. Needham and Steger secured two rebounds apiece, as Jesuit Dallas was outrebounded, 33-30, by Coppell but scored 16 second chance points off of 15 offensive boards.

A 20-point performance by Steger propelled Jesuit to a 72-62 win over Tyler Legacy in the nightcap of Friday's action. Steger went 8-of-11 from the floor, 3-of-5 from three-point range and added four rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal to his stat line. Senior
Owen Berry hit a trio of three-pointers to finish the contest with 15 points while Bronson scored 11 points and matched Kemp with a team-high seven rebounds.

Needham secured nine points on the day, Gibbons picked up six assists along with a team-high three steals and the Rangers finished the contest shooting 44.8 from the floor and 40.9 percent from three-point range. Jesuit scored 23 points off of 17 offensive rebounds and led by a game-high 23 points late in the third quarter.
