Soccer Ties Richardson at Postell Stadium

After earning a call-up from junior varsity earlier in the day, sophomore Jack Bradshaw scored his first career goal, helping lead Jesuit to a 1-1 tie over Richardson on Tuesday at Postell Stadium.

Jesuit outshot the Eagles, 17-7 during the contest, and took five shots on goal during the contest.  Richardson took a 1-0 lead in the 46th minute, converting a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead on the Rangers. Jesuit earned a corner kick minutes later, and a strong corner from junior Erwin Ordaz found Bradhaw on the far post, and the sophomore headed the ball into the back of the net to tie the contest at 1-1. The corner kick was one of six for the Rangers on the evening as the Ranger defense only held the Eagles to two corner kicks.

The Rangers will return to Postell Stadium on Friday, Feb. 18 to battle district leader J.J. Pearce, a matchup that will start the second circuit of district play. Jesuit dropped a 2-0 decision to the Mustangs in the first matchup between the two teams on Jan. 25. Friday will additionally serve as senior night for the Rangers, as the Jesuit Dallas soccer program will celebrate the nine senior members of the 2022 squad prior to the 7:30 p.m. kick off.
