Nathaniel Walker scored his first goal of the season, but three unanswered goals by the Lake Highlands Wildcats handed Jesuit a 3-1 setback on Tuesday in Dallas. The Rangers will close a two-game road trip on Friday against MacArthur.
Walker's tally came in the 15th minute, converting one of Jesuit's two shots in the opening stanza. Junior Chris Rodriguez secured seven saves during the game, including four in the first half. Lake Highlands tied the game with a tally in the 25th minute, then added tallies in the 56th and 74th minute to secure the victory. Jesuit Dallas amassed six shots during the contest, but faced 19 shots, including 10 on target, from the Wildcats. Lake Highlands earned three corner kicks in comparison to one corner attempt for the Rangers.
The Rangers will next head to Irving to battle MacArthur on Friday. Jesuit defeated MacArthur, 1-0, in the first meeting between the two teams on Feb. 1, and will look for the season sweep of the Cardinals when the two squads battle on Friday at 7 p.m.
