Ranger Pitchers Combine for One-Hitter Against Princeton

Three pitchers held the Princeton Panthers to one hit as the Rangers secured a 4-0 non-district win on Saturday in Princeton, Texas. Led by senior starter Max Bennison, the Rangers secured a key non-district win while improving their winning streak to three games.

Bennison hurled four innings of no-hit work, striking out three batters, forcing five fly outs and four groundouts. Senior Tommy Delaney took over in the fifth, striking out six of eight batters faced over two innings, before junior Jack Barr clinched the win with a hitless seventh inning.

Junior Jonah Timmons started the scoring for the Rangers with a sacrifice fly in the fourth that scored junior Patrick Bonner. Senior Myles Tucker ripped a two-run double to right center in the fifth, plating seniors Luke May and Jack Sharp for a three-run advantage. Tucker would additionally score the Rangers' final run on a Panther error later in the fifth inning.

Jesuit will return to action on Tuesday, Apr. 5 when the Nimitz Vikings arrive at Wright Field for a 7 p.m. first pitch.
