Passionate Home Crowd Fuels Rangers to Victory Over Bulldogs

Jesuit Dallas has started the season 3-0 for the second time in three seasons, hitting the mark on Friday following a 58-41 win over McKinney North at Walsh Gymnasium. The Rangers erupted for 32 points in the first quarter, fueled by junior Caleb Steger's first 20+ point game of the season.

Steger finished the contest 8-of-16 from the floor, hitting five three-pointers to finish with 25 points, adding six rebounds along with a block, a steal and assist. Senior Hank Gramlich racked up a season-high six assists, while junior Michael Grant secured 19 points for the Blue and Gold. Senior Will Bronson scored 10 points, adding a team-leading seven rebounds.

In the first quarter, Jesuit Dallas shot 12-of-13 from the field (92.3 percent) and converted 7-of-8 shots (87.5 percent) behind the three-point line. The Ranger defense held McKinney North to 35 percent shooting in that opening quarter, helping the Rangers take a 32-11 advantage heading into the second quarter.

The Rangers will next head to the 2023 Frisco Lone Star Classic for four games over two days. On Monday, the Rangers will take on Little Elm (10:30 a.m.) and Argyle (4:30 p.m.).
