The Jesuit Dallas basketball team will play for its first Bob Stras Memorial Invitational Championship since 2018, earning a spot in the championship game following a 71-51 win over Sachse on Friday at Walsh Gymnasium. The Rangers are set to battle Dallas Hillcrest in the tournament final, as the Panthers upended Dallas Lincoln, 55-49, in the other championship semifinal.

Will Bronson was a powerhouse in the post for Jesuit, scoring 24 points to lead the team. Bronson tacked on seven rebounds and two blocks to help propel the team to the win. Senior
Hank Gramlich notched a double-double, scoring 22 points, adding 10 rebounds and posting five assists. Senior

Justin Kemp each secured seven rebounds apiece, helping Jesuit out-rebound Sachse by an eyebrow-raising, 48-14 spread.

Kemp would tack on a team-high seven assists, Grant posted a team-leading two steals, and the Rangers finished the day shooting 62.7 percent from the field en route to the victory. During a 39-point second half, the Rangers dominated the boards, out-rebounding Sachse, 26-9, and hit 65.6 percent of their shots.

The Bob Stras Memorial Invitational Championship game will take place at 12 p.m. on Dec. 2. Jesuit began its tournament run with a 55-39 win over Frisco Centennial in the first round as Hillcrest opened the three-day tournament with a 64-51 victory over Amarillo Tascosa.
