Jesuit Dallas junior
Matthew Sucato scored for the Rangers, but three unanswered goals by Irving resulted in a 3-1 setback to the Tigers on Tuesday at Irving H.S.
Sucato's tally was assisted by Reese Garner, as the junior was able to score a long-distance goal late in the second half after Irving took a 3-0 lead midway through the latter half of the contest. Overall, Jesuit Dallas took five shots, including two on target. Irving recorded five shots as one save was made by
Christian Rodriguez, who was in goal during the first half, and
Cole Hines, who took over goaltending duties in the second half.
Jesuit earned three corner kicks, allowed a pair of corner attempts, and drew nine free kicks off of Irving fouls. Garner recorded Jesuit's second shot on goal, an attempt saved by the Tigers.
The Rangers will return to Ranger Stadium on Friday, Feb. 17 for a 7:15 p.m. kick-off against Berkner. Friday's match-up will serve as the first of four home games over a six-game stretch to end the regular season.
