Jesuit Dallas followed a 1-1 tie against Memorial with a 7-0 win over Plano West on Friday, Mar. 10 during the second day of the 2023 Frisco Tournament of Champions. The Rangers will take a 2-0-1 mark in the tournament into the final day of play as the Blue and Gold will square off against Frisco Liberty and Frisco Lone Star.
Against Plano West, senior
Nick Barber led the way with a 3-for-4 day from the plate, driving in two runs while scoring a pair of runs. Junior
Cameron Davis scattered a pair of hits and scored twice while sophomore
Jake Fults recorded Jesuit's final hit of the ball game, a triple in the first that plated the Rangers' first run of the game. On the mound, senior
Luke Isett threw the shutout en route to securing his third win of the year with two strikeouts. Additional Jesuit Dallas runs were scored by seniors

In the first game of the day against Memorial, sophomore
Dillon Brandt recorded a strong performance over 5.1 innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out eight batters. Junior
Jaxx Rigelsky took over in the sixth, firing 1.2 innings and striking out two batters while not allowing a hit over that stretch. Jesuit was held scoreless over the first six innings, but fought their way to a game-tying run in the seventh. Freshman
James Jorgensen opened the inning with a single through the left side, then moved to second off of a sacrifice bunt by junior
Tristen Bird. a single to left by Okamoto put runners at the corners before a sacrifice fly by Barber drove Jorgensen home for the game-tying run.
Jesuit will close the Tournament of Champions on Saturday, first taking on Frisco Liberty at 10 a.m. at Frisco Panther Creek H.S. The tournament will conclude at 2:40 p.m., when Jesuit squares off against Frisco Lone Star at Emerson H.S.
